These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of Laura Hillesheim Therapy’s Website, located at https://www.laurahillesheimtherapy.com.
By accessing this website, we assume you accept these terms and conditions. Do not continue to use LauraHillesheimTherapy.com if you do not agree to all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.
For purposes of this text, LauraHillesheimTherapy.com is interchangeable with Laura Hillesheim Therapy/Laura Hillesheim.

We may use cookies to collect, store, and track information for statistical or marketing purposes to operate our website. You have the ability to accept or decline optional Cookies. There are some required Cookies that are necessary for the operation of our website. These cookies do not require your consent as they always work. Please keep in mind that by accepting required Cookies, you also accept third-party Cookies, which might be used via third-party provided services if you use such services on our website, for example, a video display window provided by third parties and integrated into our website.
FINANCIAL (TranSactions, cancellations, and refundS)LauraHillesheimTherapy.com does have a shopping cart and check out system. All financial transactions are made via Stripe and are secure. We do not store your financial information.
We understand that life happens - sometimes unexpectedly! If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us.
For trainings, we will provide you with a full refund if you cancel up to 14 business days prior to the training event. (less $50 administrative fee per ticket purchased.)
After that, we will provide you with full credit toward a replacement course, good for 1 year. We ask that the attendee be responsible for deciding the alternative training and date by reaching out to us. The credit is only good for trainings offered by Laura Hillesheim.
Participants that no-show and did not notify in advance will be offered no refunds.
For consultations and therapy sessions, 24 hour notice must be given to cancel. You will still be charged if you fail to notify us. Cancellations and no-shows can affect your future ability to book appointments with Laura.
For intensives, notification of cancellation can be given at any time, but refunds of the Intensive registration fee are only given if certain conditions are met.
In order to get a refund after the deposit is made a replacement MUST be found to take over your slot. This is the responsibility of the attendee, but we will do everything we can on our end to also find a replacement. We suggest that the replacement pay you for the portion you’ve already paid, and then pay us for the remainder of the fees, if any. This will help avoid any fees incurred on your part. If a replacement is found and you prefer to get a refund and not engage with the replacement, you will get a full refund (less an administrative fee of $75) for the Intensive deposit. The sooner you inform us of a possible need to cancel, the more likely we are to find a replacement for you. If we do not find a replacement for you, refunds will not be given.
Room charges are directly through the retreat center and can be transferred but not refunded. It is the attendees responsibility to find coverage for the room reservation.
When you sign the Intensive Acceptance form, you are agreeing to this policy and not to dispute any charges. In the event you need to cancel, email kristimitchelltherapy@gmail.com asap.
CEsCEs are separate and are available via the Nevada Board of Examiners for MFT & CPC. There is no charge for these via Laura Hillesheim Therapy, but the Board may charge a fee. We will provide a certificate of completion at the end of the training, which you will be responsible for submitting to them in order to obtain your CEs. 100% attendance is required in order to receive your certificate.
We are currently also pending acceptance by NBCC, and if we are able to offer CEs via NBCC, a separate purchase of $30 can be made as an add-on. it is the participants responsibility to purchase and follow up on the specific CE requirements given.
INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITYAll services offered on LauraHillesheimTherapy.com are provided within the requirements of the LPCC licensure of the state of California. Laura Hillesheim Therapy reserves the right to terminate any service at any time for any reason.
Individuals seeking services accept responsibility for their progress and results. LauraHillesheimTherapy.com make no guarantees in the individual effectiveness of any service as results vary by client.
You agree that you are using LauraHillesheimTherapy.com at your own risk. You release Laura Hillesheim Therapy of any and all damages that may result from participation in any offered services.
MISCELLANEOUSIf any part of this agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts shall continue in full force. The failure of either party to exercise any right provided for herein will not be deemed a waiver of that right.
In the event that a cause beyond the reasonable control of either party, such as acts of terrorism or natural disaster, make it impossible to complete a service, both parties agree to still attempt to meet the cancellation requirements.
Both parties agree that they will attempt to solve any disputes together and in a timely manner, without intentional or unintentional disparagement of either party, both publicly or privately.
LauraHillesheimTherapy.com reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. All modifications will be posted within with a date posted at the top to ensure the most updated version is online and accessible at all times.
